Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of glass fiber post zirconia all-ceramic crown on the repair of anterior teeth defects and its effect on chewing ability. Methods A total of 102 patients (128 teeth) with anterior teeth defect admitted to Department of Stomatology,Tangshan Union Medical College Hospital in Hebei Province from January to October 2017 were selected. They were divided into observation group 47 cases (60 teeth) and control group 55 cases (68 teeth) by random number table method. The observation group was restored with glass fiber post zirconia all-ceramic crown, while the control group was restored with metal post cobalt-chromium ceramic crown. The success rate, restoration effect, periodontal, gingival crevicular fluid, masticatory efficiency and patient satisfaction of two groups were observed. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the repair success rate between the observation group and the control group (P > 0.05). The number of eligible patients on restoration integrity, color matching, marginal fitness, marginal staining and gingival condition of the observation group were more than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After restoration, the gingival bleeding index, periodontal pocket depth, and attachment loss levels were significantly higher than those before restoration (P < 0.05), and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the levels of gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) between the two groups before restoration (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in the levels of GCF and ALP before and after repair in the observation group (P > 0.05); there were significant differences in the levels of GCF and ALP before and after restoration in the control group (P < 0.05). After restoration, the levels of GCF and ALP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). One month after restoration, there was no difference in masticatory efficiency between the two groups (P < 0.05). The masticatory efficiency of the affected side in the observation group recovered significantly, and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05), and it was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Glass fiber post zirconia all-ceramic crown can significantly improve the restoration effect of anterior teeth defect, has little effect on periodontal tissue and masticatory ability, and has high satisfaction with patients.
