Effect of "Cuyu Xunxi Formula" on postoperative wound healing of mixed hemorrhoids and simple low anal fistula

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of "Cuyu Xunxi Formula" on postoperative wound healing of mixed hemorrhoids and simple low anal fistula. Methods One hundred and twenty cases of postoperative patients with mixed hemorrhoids and 144 cases of postoperative patients with simple low anal fistula treated in Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2013 to December 2015 were collected. By using high and low concentration, long and short time of fumigation, the changes of wound pain, edema, exudation and hemorrhage were observed after operation for 3, 7, 14 days, and the comprehensive effects of the four factors for postoperative symptom scores were analyzed by multi-factor analysis of variance. Results The effects of drugs on postoperative pain between the two diseases had no significant differences. The improvement degree of edema and exudation of anal fistula was most obvious on the 14th day after surgery. There was significant difference in terms of hemorrhage between the two diseases on the 7th and 14th day after surgery. Meanwhile, the dilution ratio had different effects on the improvement of edema between the two diseases on the 7th day after surgery, while the time of fumigation had different effects on the improvement of exudation of the two diseases. Conclusion "Cuyu Xunxi Formula" has great effects on postoperative symptoms of simple low anal fistula during the course of 14-day treatment, while dilution ratio and fumigation time have greater influences on the postoperative symptoms during the course of 7-day treatment.
