Professor Sun Weizheng’s experience in treating chronic aplastic anemia in children

Abstract：Aplastic anemia is a kind of hematological disease characterized by pancytopenia and decline of hematopoietic function of bone marrow, and its clinical manifestations are anemia, hemorrhage, repeated infection and so on. This paper introduces Professor Sun Weizheng’s clinical experience in the treatment of chronic aplastic anemia in children. Professor Sun believes that marrow depletion due to kidney deficiency is the core pathogenesis of the disease. Children’s delicate viscera, easy to transmit after feeling evil，and the physiological and pathological characteristics of being easy to injure yin make the performance of the disease in children more complex than that in adult patients. in addition, “blood stasis” and “heat” also have an important impact on the development and evolution of the disease. According to the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease, Professor Sun carefully examines yin and yang, distinguishes specimens, takes tonifying the kidney as the core, pays attention to taking care of children’s spleen and stomach, integrates the treatment of blood stasis and prevention of blood stasis in the whole process of treatment, and pays attention to the influence of daily life and emotions on the disease, and had excellent clinical effect.
