Professor Zhao Jinxi’s experience in the treatment of early diabetic nephr-opathy with traditional Chinese medicine characteristic therapy

Abstract：This article introduces Professor Zhao Jinxi’s experience in treating early diabetic nephropathy with traditional Chinese medicine characteristic therapy. The application of auricular point pressing pills, chirismus with Chinese herbal ointment, acupoint application, shibaduanjin, and other traditional Chinese medicine characteristic external treatment can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms of patients and improve the clinical effect. Professor Zhao Jinxi, based on the pathogenesis theory of “micro category of abdominal mass accumulation diseases” of diabetic nephropathy and the understanding of “category of abdominal mass accumulation diseases leading to diseases, void and reality are mutually causal”, uses auri- cular point pressing pills to focus on internal and external treatment, chirismus with Chinese herbal ointment to focus on supplementation of qi to eliminate syndrome, acupoint application to focus on syndrome differentiation and treatment, and practices shibaduanjin to advocate the overall adjustment of the balance of yin and yang of zang fu organs. It fully embodies the specific practice of the “trinity” diagnosis and treatment mode of constitution differentiation, disease differentiation, and syndrome differentiation for the core pathogenesis of “micro category of abdominal mass accumulation diseases” in early diabetic nephropathy, highlights the advantages of individualized traditional Chinese medicine treatment, and provides thinking and reference for the formulation of integrated treatment plans for diabetic nephropathy patients with traditional Chinese and western medicine.
