Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Niuhuang Ninggong Tablets combined with Aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia. Methods One hundred schizophrenic patients admitted to Sichuan Province Zigong Mental Health Center from February 2017 to October 2018 were selected. They were divided into control group and study group with 50 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group was treated with Aripiprazole, while the study group was added Niuhuang Ninggong Tablets on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, psychiatric symptoms, depression, quality of life, related serological indicator and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After 6 weeks of treatment, the score of positive and negative symptoms scale (PANSS) and Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) in the two groups were decreased, while those in the study group were lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the score of general quality of life inventory-17 (GQOLI-17) was increased, while the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After 6 weeks of treatment, the Neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and S100β protein in the two groups were decreased, while the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) was increased, while the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Niuhuang Ninggong Tablets combined with Aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia has definite curative effect. It can effectively improve the serum NSE, S100β and BDNF levels of patients, and does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions. It has a certain clinical application value.
