Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effect of massage on infantile anorexia with spleen and stomach weakness type. Methods A total of 104 children with anorexia admitted to Yongzhou Central Hospital of Hunan Province from February 2021 to October 2022 were selected and they were divided into experimental group (52 cases) and control group (52 cases) according to random number table method. Among them, the control group was given conventional treatment and Shenqu Xiaoshi Oral Liquid treatment, on the basis of the control group, the experimental group was given massage treatment. Both groups were treated continuously for two weeks. After two weeks of treatment, the clinical efficacy of two groups were compared, and the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, serological indicators, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment were compared between two groups. Results The clinical efficacy of experimental group was better than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). After treatment, the scores of loss of appetite, decreased food intake, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and irritability of two groups were all decreased compared with before treatment, and those of experimental group were lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum gastrin, motilin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and salivary amylase in two groups were all increased compared with before treatment, and those of experimental group were higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). No obvious adverse reactions were observed in both groups during treatment. Conclusion The effect of massage therapy on infantile anorexia with spleen and stomach weakness type is remarkable, which can further improve the clinical symptoms and gastrointestinal function of children with good safety.
