Wang Guiling’s experience in treating hereditary ataxia from governor vessel and heel vessel

Abstract：Hereditary ataxia is a hereditary neurodegenerative disease with higher mortality and disabled rate in clinic. This article summarizes the experience of Professor Wang Guiling for the treatment of the disease. This article analyzes the etiology, pathogenesis and its location, and their relationship with the physiological function and pathological changes of governor vessel and heel vessel, pointing out that the disease is treated in governor vessel and heel vessel although originates in the kidney. With the principle of “dredging and adjusting the governor vessel and heel vessel, tonifying kidney and yang” and santong method of He Puren as the treatment means, Professor Wang Guiling focuses on the treatment of tonifying kidney and fixing root, achieving a better effect as a result.
