Abstract:Objective To analyze and summarize the medication rules of external hairdressing prescriptions in ancient Chinese medicine classics. Methods The external prescriptions for promoting hair growth, hair dyeing, antidandruff and antipruritic were collected and sorted out by using the database of Chinese medical canon. The frequency, four natures, five tastes, meridian tropism, association rules and complex network were analyzed by using the ancient and modern medical cases cloud platform. Results A total of 221 prescriptions were included. The external prescriptions for promoting hair growth were mainly composed of herbs that dispel wind and relieve exterior syndrome, promote blood and qi circulation, clear heat and cool blood, most of the drugs used were pungent, warm, liver, stomach, spleen, and lung meridians. The external prescriptions for hair dyeing were mainly composed of natural plants and minerals with hair dyeing function. The external prescriptions for antidandruff and antipruritic were mainly used herbs of dispelling wind and relieving exterior pain, most of which were pungent, warm, and lung meridian. Conclusion This paper preliminarily explores the medication characteristics of external hairdressing prescriptions in ancient Chinese medicine classics through data mining, which has a certain reference value for the clinical treatment of scalp hair diseases.
