Research on equity of health resource allocation in community health service institutions in western China

Abstract：Objective To analyze the health resource allocation and equity of community health service institutions in western China from 2013 to 2018, and find out the influencing factors, provide the basis for optimizing the allocation of health resources allocation. Methods Gini index and agglomeration degree were used to evaluate the equity of health resources, and the differences were analyzed. Cluster analysis was used to find out the main factors of unbalanced resource allocation. Results During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the equity of community health resources in western China tended to be better year by year, but there were still great differences among regions. The equity of health resources according to population distribution was higher than that according to geographical area distribution, and economic development was the main reason that affected the uneven distribution of resources in geographical distribution. Conclusion In terms of the allocation of community health resources in western China, geographical, population, economic and population mobility conditions should be considered comprehensively, and fairness and efficiency should be taken into account. In the regions with large population density and small land area, the accessibility of health resources to the population distribution should be enhanced; in the regions with small population density and large land area, the accessibility of health resources to the land area distribution should be enhanced to enhance the fairness of resource allocation among different regions within the region.
