Application of PBL teaching method and the multimedia technology in the teaching of orthopedic surgery

Abstract:Objective To explore the application of PBL teaching method combined with multimedia technology in orthopedic surgery. Methods 42 students from the 2013 class subject of Chinese medicine bone injury of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine were selected. They divided into PBL combined with multimedia technology group (22 cases) and multimedia group (20 cases) according to the drawing method. The application effect was analyzed through the examination results and case writing, skills assessment, communication skills attitude evaluation. Results The scores of test, record writing, satisfaction, skills standards, communication skills in the PBL multimedia technology combined with the group were higher than those in the multimedia group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion PBL teaching method combining with multimedia technology has significant application effect in TCM traumatology surgery teaching, students have been improved obviously in communication, skill, attitude, thinking ability, which is worth popularizing in clinical teaching.
