Results The incidence of postoperative defecation discomfort and bloody stool in study group were lower than those in control group, and the incidence of defecation regularity was higher than that in control group (P<0.05). After nursing, the self rating anxiety scale and quality of life score of both groups were lower than those before nursing, and the study group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). The length of hospital stay in the study group was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion ADOPT in combination with group intervention can reduce anxiety index, alleviate symptoms and reduce complications in patients with colorectal cancer after colostomy.
